Mark Stuart Davis.


Mark is Sales Director of Blue Apple Education and has helped hundreds of schools, academies and Trusts across the UK and Europe to develop effective marketing and Communications.

Mark sits on the Advisory Committee of MATA (Multi Academy Trust Association) as the official Marketing & Communications Expert. He also speaks regularly at education events on a range of topics surrounding school marketing and hosts the weekly video podcast “Out of the Blue” with his colleague David Limb. This series has proved to be hugely popular and welcomes a whole host of guests providing their insights into a whole range of school branding, marketing and communications topics.

Mark has developed the masterclass series to provide FREE advice and support to schools that feel that they need to get a handle on their marketing and who face admissions, recruitment and parental communications challenges. Mark is motivated by helping schools make simple changes and investments that achieve real results….. and he can help you too.



John Brennan

With over 20 years experience John has worked with all types of education providers from across the UK – from nurseries to UTCs, Free Schools and Studio Schools, Sixth Forms, MATs and Independent Schools.

He has provided them with advice, direction and quality solutions across the full spectrum of culture, communication, reputational and brand related issues. John is a trusted adviser to several CEOs, principals and headteachers and has a proven record in getting results and improving schools outcomes. John is currently working with several new MATs providing advice on formation, growth and offer development strategies. He also advises a number of more established Trusts on their external communications strategy and is helping develop a sustainable pupil pipeline for member schools.

Chris has worked at Clive Owen for over 20 years and is now a Partner in the firm. He provides proactive business advice, business development strategies and accounts/audit advice to a range of clients from owner managed businesses to not for profit clients and academies.

Kevin is head of the firm’s Projects & Procurement team. He has extensive experience of advising both the public and private sector in relation to a range of public private partnerships and has particular expertise in projects in the education sector where he leads the firm’s Education Group.

Matt McDermott.


Matt has worked with education suppliers and MATs now for the last 5 years and is particularly passionate about delivering better outcomes for Trust leadership across England. Matt has 2 roles within the education landscape, a Director of Convenzis Education (an events organiser) and Founder of The Multi Academy Trust Association (MATA) which is a free to join organisation for current and aspiring Trust leadership! Since its launch in October 2021, MATA is now powered by 200+ unique Trust members and 22 partners.



John Brennan

Ryan Green. 


An experienced organisational leader, Ryan has spent the last 20 years consulting on marketing and income generation for schools and multi academy trusts throughout the UK.

With his extensive knowledge Ryan was employed as a commercial consultant to the Department of Education on a research project to strategise £2 billion in savings through understanding culture and improving communication in schools.

Ryan enjoys sharing his knowledge and regularly delivers training. He’s contributed to the ISBL professional standards and writes guidance notes for the ASCL and NAHT on marketing and income generation.
