The school is set in a very pretty village with a strong community spirit. It was established in 1909 and has good links with local businesses. The area is rural and has a large windmill behind the school which is one of the main features of the area. The school has excellent outdoor space and sets it apart from their competition. In recent years the school had been losing numbers. As children reached year 3 their parents chose to send them to local grammar and independent schools. The Headteacher wanted to compete by demonstrating a quality logo, prospectus, photography and website to match that of the local independent schools.
